About Me

Hi, and welcome to Grandma School!

I’m a mom of three and a grandma who cares for my grandchildren each day while their parents are at work. With a degree in elementary education and years of hands-on experience, I’ve found myself back in the classroom—only this time, the classroom is my living room, and the students call me “Grandma.”

Along with being a daily caregiver for my grandkids, I also care for my aging mother. Balancing both roles has stretched me in ways I never expected—filling my days with joy, love, responsibility, and sometimes exhaustion.

That’s why I created this space: to share ideas, encouragement, and honest reflections for other grandmothers and caretakers navigating this same journey.

Here you’ll find:

  • Creative ways to keep kids learning and laughing.
  • Real talk about the joys and challenges of caregiving.
  • A warm community where you’re reminded you’re not alone.

Being a grandma today is about so much more than cookies and rocking chairs (though those are pretty wonderful, too). It’s about showing up, building memories, and helping our families thrive in a world that asks so much of both parents and grandparents.

I’m so glad you’re here. Pull up a chair, make yourself at home, and let’s do this together.

With love,

Grandma
